Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur behind Tesla and SpaceX, has recently taken a bold step into the political arena by launching the America First party. This move comes amid a growing public debate about the effectiveness of the traditional two-party system in the United States. The decision to create a new political party was influenced by a poll conducted on his social media platform X, where users were asked if it was time for a third party that could represent the majority of Americans who feel unrepresented by the current political landscape.

According to Lucas, Musk believes that Trump’s proposed “Big Beautiful Bill” would significantly increase the national debt, which conflicts with Musk’s vision for a more sustainable economic future. Additionally, Musk has a vested interest in advancing renewable energy, particularly in the context of competition with China.

Despite the challenges, Musk’s involvement in politics could still have a lasting impact.
